Mantras, prayers and other types of repetition all have the same goal: to create a path towards belief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Athletes are well aware of this as are worriers.  The kind of people that say \u201cI\u2019m never going to manage it \u2013 I\u2019m never going to manage it \u2013 I\u2019m never going to manage it \u2026.\u201d end up with as disastrous a result as those who say \u201cI\u2019m going to win a medal \u2013 I\u2019m going to win a medal \u2013 I\u2019m going to win a medal\u201d end up with a favourable one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
