Usually yes, and then it depends on me agreeing to go along! I could quite well have stuck with my first impression, and turned and chatted to the person on the other side of me. End of story. But I was curious as to why the man was actually there. When I look at it from that perspective, all encounters however unlikely, become opportunities to challenge my preconceptions, to learn and be inspired.
